Windows 11 Leak: Stop Right There! If You Are Planning to Upgrade

Don’t do it!

Stop using leaked Windows 11 immediately! It is not a legal upgrade and can put your business assets at risk.

Here we are after 6 years long waiting for a new windows update. But till now what we get is not what we hope for. Windows 11 leak in July end has created a buzz over the internet. Everyone started looking for it. YouTube
is flooded with opinions that why you should and why should not upgrade to this version of windows. After the OS leaked some users also claimed to have received an official preview build update of the OS.

But the dilemma still persists. Should you update it or not?

To answer it in one word I would say a big NO. Why? Because it is not officially released yet. And that’s where the problem is.

Why You should wait for the official release of Windows 11

Windows 11 is still in its beta face, waiting for it to be completed and launched. Any OS that is still in development is nothing but a nightmare. You may not feel the difference at first but as you use it you will discover several bugs and
security vulnerabilities that’ll do nothing good to your PC.

Visiting Microsoft’s official Windows 11 update page, you’ll see that there is no official OS available for upgrade, and neither there is any confirmed date on
when they’re going roll it out. It clearly indicates that Microsoft itself isn’t ready to make the OS public because it being still in the development phase. Hence, it confirms the doubt about its stability and reliability, that it’s not
safe to upgrade.

But if you still upgrade it then imagine this worst-case scenario first. You are going to install an unstable version of OS to your perfectly running PC. Moreover, you are taking the risk of not getting any support in any kind of failure from
the vendor. Here you are on your own without any security and backup plan to protect you from any disaster.

Unless you are a developer or IT expert upgrading it will only cause you unnecessary pain. Windows 11 leak is not worth the risk of putting your company information at risk. These OS leaks are an unstable version, and should in no way be used
by you or your staff. In fact, these leaks could have malicious code hidden inside that can harm your computers, and ultimately put your company information at risk.

Since its leak attackers are at high alert to use Windows 11 to target vulnerabilities. And what you are doing is, giving them the only thing, they need to exploit your data.

Overall, it is not a wise choice to update your PC and put your data at the risk of being compromised. Compressing it in points you can summarize it into 5 Reasons to not use windows 11 leak, and here they are:

  • 1. Unstable OS

  • 2. Security Vulnerabilities

  • 3. No Official Support

  • 4. Apps compatibility issue

  • 5. Still in the development phase so not worth the risk

Not Now Then When to Upgrade to Windows 11

You may conclude that updating it after the official release is the right thing to do. But it’s not. So far from the history of Operating systems (Especially Windows), we have learned that Any OS released for 1st time is a disaster.

There are always bugs, security vulnerabilities, unstable behaviour of apps and software, and a lot of other errors. If you remember in 2015 when wino 10 was released, the same happened with it. There were rumours of data being monitored by
Microsoft. The age-old ‘Control Panel’ gets ‘Settings’ as an alternative, ‘Internet Explorer’ replaced by ‘Edge’ (which nobody found any productive). But if you look at
it now, it’s way better than it was in 2015.

This happened due to the regular updates and security patches that it had received over time. These update patches are released frequently for up to 6 months period of an OS update. After this time these updates become lesser and lesser because
most of the errors are reported by users and are fixed by Microsoft.

You can say patience is the only choice you have in the case of OS Upgrade. Because anything other than that is not worth the risk. It will only increase your dilemma of security concerns over OS updates.

Takeaway

Windows 11 offers many new features and like you, everybody is excited to try them out. But trying it out with a leaked OS is not an option for you and your business. Because compromising your data is the last thing you want for your business.
Hence, for now, I recommend you to have patience and at least wait for the first official release. Because that’s the right thing to do.
